Education

Our greatest resource in our state is our children. I am a product of our education system and am proud to of grown up in the Central Valley School District. I went on to gain my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Sociology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. 

I believe parents are an integral part of partnering with our educators in giving kids every opportunity that is possible to excel. This includes athletics, civics, extra-curricular activities, and carefully guided counseling and mentoring by educational staff to assist students in making choices to become productive members of our communities. 

Going on to college is not a "one size fits all." There needs to be electives to allow choices for furthering other skills that are provided by Vocational tech opportunities, community college courses, and offerings at the high school level to further basic skills.

Our future relies on our children to be better than the generation before them. We need a system that empowers government, parents, schools, and students to work together for the success of our kids and our future communities. 

It is for the kids!
