Olympia Trips
I've taken countless trips over to Olympia over the years... this is just a snippet of some of my favorite trips.
In 2015, I made my first trip to Olympia with the Spokane Community College Student Government, of which I was Vice President. We did a legislative academy and learned the interworking's of legislature and were able to meet one on one with some elected officials. I knew after that trip I would one day be in Olympia working on behalf of my community.
As Vice President, I was able to testify against raising Student and Activity fee increases and used my story and passion to help advocate for many other students.
Just recently, after beating the pavement in Olympia, I turned a nonstarter bill into a 97-0 vote with a bipartisan approach and hard work with the help of my legislators.
